Euro-Inf Spread Project launched

To the purpose of disseminating and further developing the results of the Euro-Inf Project, ASIIN has received support of the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Union in launching the follow-up project “Euro-Inf Spread”. The project officially started on November 1st, 2009. The kick-off meeting gathering the representatives of the partner organisations took place in Brussels on December 3rd, 2009.

In detail, the Euro-Inf Spread Project aims at:

  • Awarding the first Euro-Inf Quality Labels
  • Transferring benefits of the Euro-Inf project results to national QA systems
  • Extending network and membership of EQANIE
  • Raising the acceptance of the Euro-Inf Framework Standards and Accreditation Criteria
  • Exploring possibilities for accreditation of continuous professional development (CPD)

The partner organisations are:

  • AIKNC/HEQEC – Latvian Higher Education Quality Evaluation Center
  • ASIIN Consult GmbH
  • CEPIS – Council of European Professional Informatics Societies
  • EQANIE – European Quality Assurance Network for Informatics Education
  • University of Milan representing the Italian Association of Teachers in Informatics Higher Education, GRIN (Gruppo di Informatica)
