Approvement of new member

At its annual meeting in Barcelona, on 19 November 2012, the EQANIE General Assembly approved the membership application of the Spanish accreditation agency ANECA (National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation of Spain).

The director of ANECA, Rafael van Grieken, met the members of the General Assembly and presented his agency. ANECA provides external quality assurance to Higher Education Institutions in Spain through various evaluation, certification and accreditation activities.

ANECA announced its interest to become involved in the award of Euro-Inf labels in Spain.

Appointment of new Secretary General

At its meeting on 19th November 2012, the Executive Board appointed Jana Möhren as new Secretary General. The former Secretary General Janna Wessels left to pursue further studies. Jana Möhren holds a degree from the University of Passau, Germany. Since 2006 she has worked for the German accreditation agency ASIIN where she currently holds the position of head of the international office.
