The German Association of Faculties of Informatics at Universities (Fakultätentag Informatik, FTI) has joined EQANIE as new member in August 2010. FTI  represents the common interests of its members with a view to promoting cooperation in all scientific matters and coordination of higher education in Informatics.

FTI’s members are faculties or departments of universities and equivalent higher education institutions. All FTI member institutions offer accredited Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and have the right to award doctorates and habilitations in the field of informatics. FTI is one of seven German associations of faculties at universities that are accredited at the German Rectors Conference (Hochschulrektorenkonferenz) and which together form the German Association of Faculties (Allgemeiner Fakultätentag).

EQANIE consists of by now eleven members representing nine national organisations in six different European countries as well as two European associations. Overall, EQANIE is represented in more than 30 different countries.
